What started of as a hobby...

I used to design for myself and experiment on friends, eventually it became a full-fledged career for me.

My styles are modern in form and Indian in expression. However, my role as a fashion designer is more than just creating outfits. It’s also about keeping India’s ancient heritage of fine craftsmanship alive…it’s a moral imperative! My designs represent the multi-cultural, multi-faceted lifestyle of women today. I strongly believe that “Fashion shouldn’t exist to make people dream: it should help them to live."

My career got a boost when I joined the National Institute of fashion design as a resident ethnic cum fashion designer, where I concurrently further enhanced my skills towards the most advanced techniques and the intricacies of embroidery designing out there, and was as well awarded a certificate of Excellency for my accomplishments.

Having been a part and parcel of the Indian fashion scene for the past seven years. My recent Indian ethnic designs  unveiled the regality of Rajasthan, Gujrat and South India with a wide repertoire of formal bridal wear, which was  presented at the ATR fashion show held at J.W Marriortt, and was attended and appreciated by various movie personalities and celebrities, including Miss. India Earth, Miss. India Universe and Miss India. World.

My creations include from the traditional "baghas", to the sherwanis, lehengas, saris and even fusion wear ensembles that are unique by way of offbeat Color Combinations and embelishments.

Personally I am also very thrilled about the fact that I am able to help people interested and aspiring in fashion designing and modeling, while my community service efforts include spending my spare moments with the Aured, School of the Hearing Impaired, at King George (v) memorial, Mahalaxmi, Mumbai.

Favourite Designers:

DKNY, because of the “simplicity” of it. I like no-nonsense clothes, which still look good. Another favourite is Kenzo because it is "very exotic. Kenzo is close to my heart because they have such a strong Japanese influence, much like my designs which have a strong Indian influence in them.
